The caviary changed its name after a lovely white Great Dane pup, Snow, came into my life in October 2007. She had a rough start. The people that bred her felt she was worthless and had no value because she was deaf, therefore, she was disposable. When I rescued her, she was nearly starved to death and anemic from an infestation of parasites. She recovered quickly and has become a much-loved member of the family, which includes three other large rescued dogs. Despite her beginnings where no one loved her, Snow loves everyone she meets. She is sweet, gentle, and very smart. She is happy and joyful despite her disabilities. She is deaf and blind in one eye. All life deserves a chance, and I am very blessed to have her as part of my family.
